Caterina Arcuri (Catanzaro, Italy). She has made artistic and musical studies (Academy of Fine Arts and Music Conservatory). She is professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro, where she lives. In the search field, and visual experimentation using different languages: from photography to video, installations environmental, design and performance.
Her poetic instinctive psychological investigation she goes to track down a primitive capability that allows you to transpose the newspaper in myth and vice versa. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, including Minimum Eternity, Open Space, Catanzaro, Return @ Ithaca, Mudima Foundation, Milan, South of the world, Palazzo Delli Ponti, Taranto, Italy Pavilion, 54th edition of the Biennale Venice, Primo Piano LivinGallery and others. In her recent catalog “The other body is”, collecting the artist’s work of the last three years, accompanied by contributions texts by Renato Barilli, Giorgio Bonomi, Rino Cardone, Luigi Paolo Salonga and Angela Sanna.
