BAROQUE BLUE SE-ART RESIDENCY is a bridge between East and West, North and South, form and content, ethics and aesthetics, past and future. It is a point of reference for international artists who wish to work in a stimulating environment to deepen their artistic practice in dialogue with the territory and Apulian artists. During the residency, artists not only live together, but share a collective vision that embraces art, culture, music, history, research, sustainability, and spiritual development. These principles permeate all aspects of daily life within the unique and engaging model that is Baroque Blue.
Baroque Blue 2026 begins in JUNE, two intense weeks in Salento, starting from the marina of TORRE DELL’ORSO (Lecce). Known as the pearl of the South and with a sea called “The Caribbean of Salento,” the marina is on the Adriatic coast with a sandy bay and not far from the “Due Sorelle/Two Sisters” rocks and other paradisiacal landscapes. A land of striking contrasts, Salento presents itself to visitors as an authentic open-air museum, made up of dreamlike landscapes, incredible nature, and heavenly beaches, ancestral cultures, and an irresistible and flavorful gastronomic offering. Here you will find nature reserves of incredible beauty, forests, spectacular underground caves, caves with graffiti left by ancient sailors, wonderful seabeds and much more. TORRE DELL’ORSO is deeply linked to the myth of the Big Dipper. Orso in English is “Bear”. This place in the heart of the TERRA D’OTRANTO has been circumnavigated since ancient times by the followers of the Great Mother. Here there are places where her traces are still visible in both surface sanctuaries and coastal grotto.
BAROQUE BLUE is a two-week full immersion art residency in Salento and includes a series of activities and services.
