Dores Sacquegna

Dores Sacquegna is an Italian artist, curator and art director. She has been an art consultant for more than 20 years for leading art collections in Italy and abroad as well as managing her own art consultancy firm for the last ten years.

Having conducted large-scale and significant art collection such as Allotropia’s Museum of Cultural Heritage &  Contemporary Art ( Antilyra, Greece), Sphinx Thebes Festival Collection of Contemporary Art (Thebes, Greece), Harlem Art Project collection for Saatchi & Saatchi Foundation and Ray of Light Foundation (New York, Usa), Cavallini Foundation (Florence, Italy), Primo Piano LivinGallery‘s collection (Lecce, Italy), Dores also continues supporting individual collections and artists.

Since 1994 to date, she works with public and private institutions, with a careful research on national and international talents, taking care of a full program of events including interdisciplinary events,  seminars, performances, workshops and hosting artists, directors and personalities of culture. Dores is also Art Director and Chef Curator of Primo Piano LivinGallery, Lecce.

She has worked and exhibited and reviewed works by international artists including among others: Vito Acconci, Living Theatre, Hermann Nitsch, Giovanni Albanese, Edoardo Winspeare, Ervin Olaf, Ugo Nespolo, Eugenio Recuenco, Matthew Barney, AES + F Group, Grimanesa Amoros, Pam Longobardi, Ugo Carrega, Adriano Spatola, Lamberto Pignotti, Matteo Basilè, Francesco Arena, Oscar Gillespie, Astolfo Funes, Marina Comandini Pazienza, Jason deCaires Taylor, Sama Alshaibi, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Willem Martinot and many more.

She has curated exhibitions on behalf of prestigious public bodies including Harrow Art Center in London (UK);  Cultural Factory in Saint Germain-Paris (France); Film Festival in Cannes (France); Gergeri’s Pinacoteque in Crete Isle (Greece); EPOFE Art Project in Samothrace Isle (Greece); Museum of Natural Sciences in Alexandropolis (Greece);  Allotropy Museum in Antikyra (Greece); CCCB Center de Cultura Contemporanea in Barcelona (Spain); Olympic Fine Arts Museum in Beijing (China); Saatchi & Saatchi Foundation in New York(USA); Hatem Hafi of the Dar Alf-fonon Center in Nablus (Palestine); Sphinx Thebes Festival in Thebes (Greece), Art Fair in Dubai (UAE) and more.
