This year the working anniversary of Dores Sacquegna falls with 30 years of care and organization of events. The first project is dedicated to The Diary of a Dreamer, longitudes, latitudes and women’s legacy, with an international event full of surprises.
The exhibition can also be read as a treatise on non-ideological thought; as a conflict between uniqueness and culture, as a drama of female consciousness in the world, as an attempt to interrupt the dream that a man has about a woman, as a description of the world, as writing without giving oneself the identity of a writer, as the possibility of relationships now dissolved, even if traumatized, by the delivery of silence.
SPECIAL EVENTS – A national preview in Lecce, the pictorial cycle of the 12 Faces of the Eros of the American artist (based in Switzerland), Kohlene Hendrickson. In this context, the artist’s book on the complete cycle will also be presented.
To her pictorial cycle, the Italian musician M° Alberto “Nick” Bolettieri (trumpet) dedicates 12 musical snapshots with the EroSound performance in collaboration with Italiam musician Valerio Chetta (synythetizer). Among the other guests and artists of the opening day, the Swiss choreographer / dancer Anna Röthlisberger, in the double version of author and creator of the film A RETURN TO EROS, the radical experience of being fully alive. In addition to them, the following artists will be present during the Opening Day Sara McKenzie from USA and Clotilde Verriès from France.
About film ( 20 min ) : A book inspired a painter ( A RETURN TO EROS by Marc Gafni & Kristina Kincaid). The exhibition of the works by Kohlene Hendrickson inspired the dancer Anna Röthlisberger, EROS led to this film A RETURN TO EROS. A double evening where the two artists meet each other mutually. A complete work of art.
Anna Röthlisberger resonates with Kohlene Hendrickson’s 12 FACES OF EROS paintings in various facets and colorful universes while moving. A danced conversation with soundscape. An approach of proximity but also of hindsight. In different moving chapters an embodied filmed version, prints in reflexion tenderness into the landscape of each painting. What begins with a simple score in a blue room confronts us with more complex female states of a moving journey that is both sensitive and powerful. A dance itself. In the documentary the music and guitar loops are composed by Marc Rossier from Switzerland. Further we have in chapter one (Blue Room) music from Meredith Monk and in the last chapter (Exhibition )Electronics from Henrik Lorenzon. The film was edited by ARCo Production, Switzerland / Anna Röthlisberger.
For the Finissage/Ceremony of 8 March (Women’s World Day) at 6:30pm, it starts with the screening of the following films:
