LIQUID REALITY
The Fluxus Legacy in Contemporary Art Forms
15 Edition of the Visionary Art Show
from 20 November to 04 December 2026
Palmieri Foundation – Via Dei Sotterranei, 1 – Lecce, Italy
curated by Dores Sacquegna
What connects John Cage’s silence, Ben Vautier’s provocative signature, Yoko Ono’s poetic instructions, and Joseph Beuys’s social sculpture to today’s multimedia installations?
In the 1960s, the Fluxus movement broke down the boundaries between Art and Life in the spirit of flux. Today, in a hyper-connected era, that fluidity has become our everyday reality.
LIQUID REALITY stages an unprecedented generational dialogue. Through four thematic sections (Silence, The Word, Instruction, Action), the historic works of the Fluxus masters reflect and amplify their insights in the explorations of contemporary artists. From early conceptual experiments to digital installations and bio-art, the exhibition demonstrates that the fluttering wings of that historic avant-garde continue to generate visual revolutions in the present. Liquid Reality is not a nostalgic celebration, but a living dialogue. An immersive and interactive journey to discover that everything flows, everything connects, and that life itself remains the most powerful work of art.
The new edition of visionary art show is directed and curated by Dores Sacquegna. Organized by Primo Piano LivinGallery and staged at the Palmieri Foundation in the old city of Lecce (in Vico dei Sotterranei 1, in front of the cathedral), the exhibition will be open until December 4, 2026. The event, inspired by the Cabinet de Curiosités, pays tribute to visionary artists. An event of TOTAL ART that combines contemporary art with cinema, theatre, poetry, and music. A living story that brings to the stage dreamers and their art or “cult objects” in a production that transforms the sacred, Renaissance venue of the Palmieri Foundation into a Cabinet de Curiosités, involving visitors in an immersive experience with the curiosity and wonder typical of a wonder room. An event that opens a window onto the collective imagination, where representation becomes writing, body, and moving image of the present time.
