““It is said that, before the stars, there were only feathers floating in the void. They were fragments of light, bearers of memories and possibilities. When they began to move, the first constellations were born. Today, those feathers come alive again through us.”

*Constellations: The Awakening of the Star Feathers*, curated by Dores Sacquegna, is an act of vision: the curator is not the nineteenth archetype but the gravitational centre, the force field that unites the artists and guides them like a living constellation. Archetypes are active energies, points of light that guide one another. They are states of flow, directions, possibilities. Each artist is associated with an archetype, and together they form a narrative ecosystem in which trajectories do not simply add up: they amplify one another.

The residency explores the dialogue between fragility and vastness, between the smallest gesture and the cosmic horizon. Nine foreign artists in dialogue with nine Apulian artists, and the circle is balanced: Everyone has their own vibration and, together with the others, contributes to the movement of the whole. Every gesture, every encounter, every work is a star that lights up in a sky that moves, expands, and transforms. Torre dell’Orso is the symbolic harbor: departure, pause, individual immersion, and arrival. The sea as origin, the rock as memory, the wind as messenger, the night as revelation. Awakening is a process: a slow emergence of forms, intuitions, and symbols that take shape through artistic practice. The residency thus becomes a cosmic laboratory where art recreates the cosmos through gestures, materials, and listening.

The final exhibition is a ritual circle, a journey through 18 thresholds/archetypes. The works created become celestial gates: autonomous, yet united in a collective constellation, an emotional atlas that reflects the complexity of our time through myth and cosmic imagination. Thus, a universe is born under the sign of the Feather of Alliance, where artists recognize themselves within a greater force.
